YOGYAKARTA – Dua Fakultas di Universitas Gadjah Mada mendapatkan bantuan pendidikan dari Djarum Foundation, Rabu (29/2). Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis (FEB) mendapatkan fasilitas auditorium plus kelengkapan sarana belajar. Sedangkan Fakultas Teknik (FT) mendapatkan bantuan renovasi perpustakaan digital.
Delapan mahasiswa dari Aoyama Gakuin University (Jepang) yang sedang mengikuti field research di UGM merasa terkesan penanganan bencana di desa Gondang Kepuharjo Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Mereka sangat terkesan tentang penanganan pasca bencana Merapi dari bermacam aspek.
Duta Besar RI untuk Federasi Rusia dan Republik Belarus, Djauhari Oratmangun, Selasa (28/2), berkunjung ke UGM dalam rangka mendiskusikan peluang kerjasama antara UGM dan universitas-universitas yang berada di Rusia. Menurut Djauhari, hingga saat ini, UGM telah menjalin kerjasama dengan Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Meskipun demikian, diharapkan ada lebih banyak kerjasama dengan universitas lainnya di Rusia.
“Ini antara lain karena masih minimnya jumlah mahasiswa Indonesia yang meneruskan studi ke Rusia, ” kata Djauhari.
